LUCILLE LE MELEDO was born in Melbourne, Australia on July 12th, 2000. She is the only child of Australian veteran performer Debra Byrne and her former partner, French musician Cedric Le Meledo. Through her father, she has French citizenship and is fluent in the language. Being born into an industry family, she has been training in the arts since she was only 2 years old.At the age of 5, she made her professional stage and television debut on Carols by Candlelight, singing a duet of 'Silent Night' with her mother on New Year's Eve in 2005. First celebrated in 1938, the show is performed live infront of roughly 30,000 people, and she became the youngest performer in the annual Melbourne christmas tradition's history at the time.Her professional acting career began at the age of eleven in Gordon Frost's 2012 Australian revival tour of Annie starring in the title role at the Lyric Theatre in Sydney. Initially casted as orphan Tessie and as an understudy to the title role, she was promoted to the lead after a former actress dropped out mid rehearsals. She also performed at Carols in the Domain alongside the cast.The following year, she played Jemima Potts in TML Enterprises' 2013 original Australian tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne. Out of the three child actresses sharing the workload, she was chosen to perform the role on opening night to positive reviews.Later that same year, she played Young Louise in The Production Company's limited season of Gypsy at the Arts Centre in Melbourne alongside Caroline O'Connor.While she placed her acting career on hold through high school, she maintained a love of music and improving her skills in other areas. As an artist, she prides herself in her ability to utilise and exhibit her skills in acting, singing, writing, composing and arranging. Aside from her vocal training, she is also a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, experienced with the piano, violin, zither, ukelele, guitar and drums. In high school and university, she studied music theory, music production and visual effects. Lucille has stated that she was originally influenced by her parents to embark on a career in entertainment but has also expressed interest in photography and writing.Some of her role models and influences include Amy Adams, Christy Altomare, Chloƫ Grace Moretz, Helena Bonham Carter, lKerry Butler, and Kristin Chenoweth. Aside from English and French, she is currently studying the Japanese language. She is also openly gay, first coming out in early 2019, and is a spokesperson for equal rights and mental health awareness.
